BARN CONVERSION

Although originally conceived as a relatively spacious, modern “micro home” with a prefab construction, we were able to extensively retain the load-bearing structure of the original barn. In contrast to the original barn design, the exterior of the outstandingly well-insulated walls is rendered in a matte anthracite colour. The interior ceilings and walls are primarily finished in white, while the floors are laid with rustic, roughhewn oak planks. It is particularly worthy of note that the fully integrated photovoltaic panels on the roof produce an annual volume of 32,000 kWh, enough to supply the entire neighbourhood with electricity.
