WARMTH: OUR STOVES AND FIREPLACES.
Thanks to its remarkable properties, including high thermal resistance, density and solidity, soapstone makes for an outstanding heat-storage material. The stone continues to radiate pleasant and healthy warmth for long periods of time. The wood placed in a soapstone stove burns quickly and effectively. Depending on its size, a heated soapstone stove will continue to radiate warmth for up to 24 hours. One special advantage is that your indoor air will remain pleasantly fresh instead of turning bone dry.

SURSELVA SOPASTONE.
Soapstone is a natural stone of very high density. Its properties include the ability to store heat for long periods. There are only a few major deposits of soapstone in Switzerland. In fact, the only active soapstone quarry in Switzerland today is located in the Graubünden region, near Disentis.
